Web design was a key hobby of mine throughout my teenage years, and since that time I've often taken responsibility for the web presences of projects I'm involved in. In recent years, I've come to work within Wordpress far more - primarily for ease of maintenance. However, I remain a self-taught user of HTML and CSS, working primarily in Adobe Dreamweaver.
Raypunk.org is a long-standing passion project of mine, dedicated to a particular science fiction aesthetic. Its core website was redesigned in 2018 to make simple, visual statements about the genre. Its layout and font palette are inspired by pulp magazines of the 1940s and '50s, in turn built upon the 'Lighthouse' theme by LighthouseSEO.
