In 2012, I embarked on a project of personal interest as I found that - despite having lived in my hometown for 22 years - I would still wind up confused or unsure of where a given bus was headed. I took it upon myself to draw a bus route map, with a town centre insert inspired by TfL's own diagrams.
I pooled together research material from Stagecoach - the town's primary bus operator - as well as from the borough council, existing map data, and my existing local knowledge.
